Jay Marie Padilla – La Cucarachita Martina- Co-Director- está emocionada de estar de nuevo en otro espectáculo con Teatro Tercera Llamada. No solo co-dirigiéndolo sino también haciendo el papel de La Cucarachita con este elenco fabuloso. Su familia es de Puerto Rico, pero nació en Hawai. Jay obtuvo su licensciatura en la Universidad de Louisville en Inglés y Artes Teatrales. Recientemente dirigió el estreno mundial de Silueta y estuvo en Algo de Un Tal Shakespeare a principios del año pasado con Teatro Tercera Llamada. Jay fue la directora y representó el papel de Ana en Las Mujeres Verdaderas Tienen Curvas de Josefina López en el Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts en enero del 2017. También trabaja con varias otras compañías de teatro de la ciudad como actriz, directora o directora de escena: Commonwealth Theatre Centre, The Chamber Theatre, Looking for Lilith y Savage Rose entre otras. Ella está muy emocionada de presentar esta nueva obra de Carlos-Manuel.
Jay Marie Padilla (La Cucarachita Martina and Co-Director) is excited to be co-directing another show with Teatro Tercera Llamada. Not only co-directing it but also getting to be La Cucarachita with this fabulous cast. Her family is from Puerto Rico, but she was born in Hawaii. She has a Bachelors degree from the University of Louisville in English and Theater Arts. She recently directed the world premiere of Silueta and was in Something About A So Called Shakespeare earlier last year with Teatro Tercera Llamada. Miss Padilla also works with several other theater companies in the city as an actress, director or stage manager as well as The Boy Who Cry Wolf as Fransisco with Commonwealth Theater Center, The Chamber Theater as Stage Manager, Looking for Lilith and Savage Rose to name a few. She is very excited to present this new work by Carlos-Manuel.
Joe R. Monroe – El Ratoncito Peña , originally from NC, and currently resides in Louisville, is pleased to be in his 1st production with Teatro Tercera Llamada. Most recently seen on stage as Dr. Rank in A Doll’s House and as the character Gabriel in the production of Fences, and Rev. Monroe in Tomcat. Joe enjoys working locally, regionally, and nationally on stage, television, and film. Joe would like to thank The Monroe and Johnson families for their unwavering support and he dedicates this performance to the memory of Al Wiggins.
Joe R. Monroe – Ratoncito Peña originalmente es de Carolina del Norte pero reside en Louisville y esta agradecido estar en la primera producción con Teatro Tercera Llamada. Recientemente estaba actuando como el Dr. Rank en Casa de Muñecas y como el personaje de Gabriel en Cercas y como el Reverendo Monroe en Tomcat. Joe le gusta trabajar localmente, regionalmente and nationalmente en teatro, televisión y películas. Joe esta muy agradecido a su familia Monroe y Johnson por su apoyo incondicionalmente y le dedica esta actuación a Al Wiggins.
Judith Gonzalez Leyva – Narrator 1, Doctor, Make-up Seller, es una actriz recien llegada a los Estados Unidos de Las Tunas, Cuba. Tiene una licenciatura de Artes Teatrales de ISA, Universidad de las Arts, Habana, Cuba. Esta es la segunda vez que se presenta en un papel teatral en Louisville, Kentucky.
Judith Gonzalez Leyva – Narrator 1, Doctor, Make-up Seller, is an actress recently arrived from Las Tunas, Cuba. She has a Bachelors in Fine Arts from ISA, Universidad de las Artes, Habana, Cuba. This is the second time she has performed in Louisville, Kentucky.
Hannah M. Connally – Narrator 2, Toro Tito, Dove, is an actress from the heart of Texas. This May she graduated from the University of Evansville with a B.F.A. in Theatre Performance and moved to Louisville shortly after. She is ecstatic to have her Louisville debut with Teatro Tercera Llamada! Up next, Hannah will be working with TheatreWorks of Southern Indiana starring in PROOF by David Auburn as Catherine. She would like to thank Oscar Gomez for teaching her Spanish and always supporting her wild dreams! Te amo!
Hannay M. Connally– Narradora 2, Toro Tito, Paloma, es una actriz del corazón de Texas. Este Mayo se graduó de la Universidad de Evansville con una B.F.A. en Actuación Teatral. Esta extática de tener su estreno con Teatro Tercera Llamada! Le sigue esta obra con haciendo la protagonista, Catherine, en la obra Proof de David Auburn con TheatreWorks del Sur de Indiana. Le quiere agradecer a Oscar Gomez por enseñarle español y siempre apoyándola en sus sueños locos! I love you!
Liz Benitez – Narrator 3, Candy Seller, Cockatoo, es de Amancio, Las Tunas, Cuba. Comencé mi recorrido artístico a la edad de 5 años recitando poesías . Estuve integrada a varios proyectos culturales como compañía de teatro para niños, coros musicales, grupos de danza . A los 12 años comencé a trabajar en la radio haciendo programas infantiles. Luego continúe trabajando ya para jóvenes hasta los 18 años que emigró a los Estados Unidos a reunirme con mi mamá . En el 2013 me presento a un casting para una obra con el delirio producciones. Fui llamada a interpretar uno de los protagonicos de la puesta en escena Ana en el Trópico. Luego participe en otras producciones como Celaginela (2013) La puerta (2014) Cuando regreses a New York (2015) . Participe en un corto dirigido por estudiantes de cine de la universidad de California Matt Rivera y Evan Sennet titulado ” Sundown At The Crossroads” . Asi como en el video clip musical Sloe Pink del director Mike Thompson. Último trabajo Confesiones de Josefina Lopez con la compañía Tercera Llamada.
Liz Benitez – Narradora 3, Vendedora de Dulces, Cacatúa is from Amancio, Las Tunas, Cuba. She started her artistic life at the age of 5 by reciting poetry. She was incorporated in cultural projects in children’s theatre, chois and dance groups. At 12 years of age she started working in radio doing children’s programs. Later she continued to work with young adult programing until she immigrated to the United States to join her mother. In 2013 she auditioned with El Delirio Producciones. She was called to play one of the protagonist roles in Ana in the Tropics. Later she participated in other productions such as Celaginela (2013) and La Puerta (2014) Cuando Regreses a New York (2015). She participated in a short film directed by students of cinema from the University of California, Matt Rivera and Evan Sennet called Sundown at The Crossroads. She also was in a video clip musical, Sloe Pink, Directed by Mike Thompson and lastly she worked in Confesiones by Josefina López with Teatro Tercera Llamada.
Daniel Smith – Narrator 4, Gallo Gabriel, King, Royal Doctor, is a Louisville Native who has been doing theatre in the area since he was 5. You might remember from him last year’s Henny Penny as Tomas Turkey or if you are a regular at the Science Center you’ve probably seen him blowing things up for Science! He wants to thank his girlfriend, the cast and crew for their support and help through this process.
Daniel Smith – Narrador 4, Gallo Gabriel, Rey y Doctor Real is un nativo de Louisville que lleva haciendo teatro desde los cinco años. Talvez los recordaras el año pasado, como Tomas Turkey o si eres un frecuente del Centro de Ciencias, probablemente lo ha visto esplotando cosas para la ciencia! Le quiere agradecer su novia y el elenco y equipo por todo su apoyo en este proceso.
Isabel Villa – Dress Seller, Queen (Aug 19th and WorldFest performances) Nací en el bello estado de Michoacán Mexico la tercera de 8 hijos curse la carrera de enfermería en la ciudad De Jalapa Veracruz soy madre de dos niñas y abuela de 6 hermosos nietos a quien adoro y estoy inculcando el amor por la cultura y las artes. Emigré a este país hace 20 años y me ciento honrada dé pertenecer al Teatro Tercera Llamada desde hace ya unos meses y los que vengan.
Isabel Villa – Vendedora de Vestidos, Reina (puesta del 19 de agosto) Ms. Villa was born in the beautiful state of Michoacan, Mexico. She was the third of eight children and studied nursing in the city of Jalapa, Veracruz. She is the mother of two daugthers and the grandmother of 6 who she adores. She loves culture and the arts. She immigrated to this country 20 years ago and feels honored to be part of Teatro Tercera Llamada for the past year and looking forward to the years to come.
Andrea Ornelas – Dress Seller, Queen (August 5th performances) Actriz Mexicana. Lic. en Artes Escénicas por la FBA de la Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro. Ha participado en alrededor de 20 puestas en escena entre ellas Macbeth, Nuestro Pueblo, La Bella Dorotea, Amigos hasta la Muerte y Woyzeck. Ha trabajado con directores como Ricardo Leal, Paco Rabell, Alonso Barrera, Javier Veiga y Jorge Izquierdo. Participo en Festivales Nacionales de Teatro en Mexico y desde hace 5 años dirige el grupo de teatro de ciegos Mira lo que veo.
Andrea Ornelas – Vendedora de Vestidos, Reina (puesta del 5 de agosto). Mexican actress with a BFA in Theatre from the FBA of the Universidad Autonoma de Queretaro. She has participated in around 20 plays from Macbeth, Our Town, La Bella Dorotea, Amigos Hasta la Muerte and Woyzeck. She has worked with the following Directors: Ricardo Leal, Paco Rabell, Alonso Barrera, Javier Veiga and Jore Izquierdo. She has participated in Festivales Nacionales de Teatro in Mexico and as of 5 years ago she Directs a of visually impair group called “Mira Lo Que Veo” , “Look at What I See”.

Haydee Canovas – Co-Directora, Vestuario y Diseño de Scenario/Co-Director, Costuming and Set Design. es co-fundador y productora de “Teatro Tercera Llamada”. Ha sido productora en las compañias : Teatro Tercera Llamada, Looking for Lilith Theatre Company y El Delirio Producciones. Por profesión, la Sra. Canovas es una enfermera avanzada y como hobby produce teatro.
Haydee Canovas is co-founder and producer of Teatro Tercera Llamada. Mrs. Canovas has been a producer for the following companies: Teatro Tercera Llamada, Looking for Lilith Theatre Company and El Delirio Producciones. By profession, Mrs. Canovas is a Family Nurse Practitioner and produces theatre as a hobby.
Javier Barroso Gonzalez – Música Original y músico, Original score and musician
Xenia Miller – Gerente de Utilería/Properties Manager, Xenia Miller, nació en San Salvador, El Salvador. Desde muy niña le gustaba escribir poesía, actuar y cantar . Escribió un guión para una obra llamada “El día de la madre” que actuó y dirigió. También escribió un cuento llamado” La luz de la Navidad”. Aunque se dedicó a estudiar la carrera de Ciencias Jurídicas en la Universidad Centroamericana ‘José Simeón Cañas’ UCA. Su sueño siempre fue actuar en teatro, y lo hizo realidad al participar en la puesta en escena de “Las Mujeres Verdaderas Tienen Curvas” de Joséfina López. Realizada en The Kentucky Center en Enero de 2017. Ahora regresa nuevamente con “Confesiones…” otra vez de Joséfina López, interpretando dos monólogos: el de Marquez-Bernstein y Tiffany. Ella agradece infinitamente a la actriz y productora Haydee Canovas Hernandez y a la actriz y directora Jay Marie Padilla y a su familia por su apoyo incondicional.
